ESPOO, Finland, Feb. 6, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Directors of Metsa Tissue Corporation has decided to propose to the company's Annual General Meeting, to be held on March 18, 2003, that no dividend is distributed for the financial period that ended on December 31, 2002.
Summons to annual general meeting
The shareholders of Metsa Tissue Corporation are invited to attend the company's Annual General Meeting, to be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Auditorium at Metsatapiola, address Revontulentie 6, 02100 Espoo, Finland. The meeting will deal with matters pertaining to the Annual General Meeting as stipulated in the Companies Act and in #9 of the company's Articles of Association.
Shareholders who are registered at the latest by Friday, March 8, 2003 in the list of shareholders kept by Finnish Central Securities Depository Ltd., or holders of nominee-registered shares who are registered temporarily in the company's list of shareholders by the same date, have the right to attend the Meeting.
Shareholders wishing to attend the Annual General Meeting must signify their intention to do so at the latest on March 14, 2003 by 4 p.m. either by telephone: +358 1046 95041, by e-mail to paivi.raitanen@metsatissue.com, or in writing to the address Metsa Tissue Corp., Paivi Raitanen, Italahdenkatu 15-17, 00210 Helsinki, Finland. Any letters of attorney must be submitted at the same time.
