STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 7, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- WM-data (Other OTC:WMDTF) (Stockholm:WMb):
-- Sales amounted to SEK 7 100 M (11 975) for full-year 2002 and
SEK 1 880 M (2 145) for the fourth quarter. Sales for core
operations for the full-year totaled SEK 7 070 M (7 535).
-- Income after net financial items, reversal of the items affecting
comparability and goodwill write-downs, amounted to SEK 239 M
(258). The corresponding result in the fourth quarter was SEK 97
M (116). Income after net fi nancial items was SEK -960 M (11).
-- The development project for the Norwegian tax authorities will
be restructured and since the financial consequences cannot be
definitively determined, WM-data has allocated provisions totaling
SEK 420 M, of which SEK 350 M during the fourth quarter. The
total amount corresponds to the earnings effect of a cancellation
of the project in its entirety and is reported as an item affecting
comparability.
-- WM-data charged write-downs of goodwill totaling SEK 529 M against
earning for full-year 2002, of which SEK 14 M was charged in
the fourth quarter.
-- The cost-savings program announced in the third quarter has been
extended and will involve slightly more than 600 employees.
Accordingly, earnings for the full-year were charged with an item
affecting comparability totaling SEK 240 M, of which SEK 115 M
was charged in the fourth quarter.
-- During the year, WM-data strengthened its position as a leading
supplier of total solutions, including new agreements with Volvo
Car Corporation, the Central Student Aid Board, Statistics Sweden,
SSAB, the National Housing Board and Sonofon.
