Do They Know When Their Time Draws Near? New author presents book of 106 true stories recounting before death experiences

HAMPTON, Iowa, February 12, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Most everyone has lost a loved one. Family and friends left behind may often ponder the days and hours before the time of death. Those moments can become significant in the mind, perhaps as a matter of comfort, or is it something more? Could it possibly be that the loved one was preparing theirself (and those around them) for their parting? Christina M. Meide believes it is not only possible, but also probable. In her newly released book, Do We Know When Our Time Is Near? (now available through 1stBooks Library), Meide presents 106 separate accounts of individuals who believe their loved one knew that it was his or her time to go.

After her father's unexpected death, Meide began to ponder whether her father, knowing his death was pending, had been making amends with loved ones as a final goodbye in his last days. Seventeen years later, Meide began searching for similar stories and answers. While some accounts incite the possibility that there could be an alternate answer, there are others that are so convincing in content that they are almost impossible to dispute, Meide states.

Many books on the topic of death exist in today's market, Meide notes. However, those books focus mainly on after death subjects such as how to cope, ghosts and reincarnation. Meide's book casts a unique twist on the existing book market by focusing on prior to death experiences.

Meide currently resides in Hampton, Iowa. Having known the pain of loss herself, Meide encourages readers to make each moment "count" with those they love and to pay attention to the possible signs so that they may be prepared for a loved one's approaching passing.
