MALMO, Sweden, Feb. 19, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today Teleca (Stockholm:TELCb) signed a general agreement with Vodafone Sweden for voice and data telecommunications services. Teleca is one of five companies chosen, in competition with others, to sign a 12-month general agreement. In 2003 Vodafone Sweden intends to only purchase consulting services from these five partners, which means increased cooperation with Teleca.
Teleca is already a leading supplier of services and solutions for operators in Europe. The general agreement with Vodafone Sweden now puts Teleca in an even stronger position in the operator segment.
"As far as Teleca is concerned, Vodafone Sweden is a high-priority customer and we're looking forward to working closely with them," said Johan Strid, President at Teleca OSS. "This is our first general agreement with Vodafone Sweden, who we view as an important long-term partner."
Teleca has previously helped Vodafone Sweden with, among other things, installing and integrating a system for the improved supervision of networks and services. Teleca is currently conducting a pre-study of new services for Vodafone Sweden's mobile network.

Among other things, Teleca's general agreement covers project management, infrastructure design, systems architecture and development, test management and performance, CRM specialists, billing specialists, technical specialists, radio planning, and strategy and product specialists.
