SOLNA, Sweden, Feb. 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scribona's CEO Lennart Svantesson was today appointed as President & CEO of Bure Equity AB and will be succeeded by Tom Ekevall Larsen, currently President of the Scribona Distribution Division.
Tom Ekevall Larsen, 40 years old, has worked for Scribona since 1988. In 2000 he joined Scribona's management team and in 2001 was made President of the Scribona Distribution Division, the Group's largest business area with annual sales of SEK 9.1 billion in 2002.
"After 15 years with the company I know what challenges lie ahead in our fast-changing market, but above all I am aware of the strengths we possess in the form of our employees and relationships with customers and suppliers. I look forward to further developing these," commented Ekevall Larsen.
Lennart Svantesson was today appointed as President & CEO of Bure Equity AB, Scribona's largest shareholder. Lennart was elected to the board of Scribona in 1998 and was made President & CEO in 2000. Conditional on the approval of the annual stockholder meeting, Svantesson will retain his seat on Scribona's board.
"I have been involved with Scribona since 1998 and look forward to taking part in ongoing development of the company as a member of the board," said Svantesson.
Tom Ekevall Larsen and Lennart Svantesson will take up their respective posts on April 1, 2003.
