TORONTO, March 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- FirstBingo.com (OTCBB:FBGO) announced today that it has moved a giant step closer to launching Trivia Bingo(tm), North America's first television game show where all of the contestants will qualify via the Internet. "The Trivia Bingo(tm) television game show concept will represent the first true convergence of both television and the Internet. We remain quite excited about its many potential applications," stated FirstBingo.com President, Richard Wachter.
This step closer to launch of the innovative television game show Trivia Bingo(tm), comes as a result of the receipt of a very positive report provided by Mansfield Television Distributing Co. ("Mansfield"), with offices in both Denver and Los Angeles, indicating the immense interest in the television game show concept by the U.S. television networks. Mansfield became involved with FirstBingo to assist the company with the television game show concept and to introduce the game show to the U.S. television networks. Following numerous meetings with network executives from Viacom-CBS, NBC, Columbia/Sony and others Mansfield was extremely encouraged by the accolades that the game show concept received. "The interest in Trivia Bingo(tm) was very positive right across the board," stated John Mansfield, President of Mansfield.
Mr. Mansfield added, "Although we were cautiously optimistic with respect to the revenue potential of Trivia Bingo(tm) and its acceptance among the networks when we first accepted the assignment, we never expected such a tremendous response."
With this positive feedback in hand, it is full steam ahead for FirstBingo to bring Trivia Bingo(tm) to market. "There's no stopping us now," stated Richard Wachter. "FirstBingo remains committed to seeing Trivia Bingo(tm) on television this year."
Trivia Bingo(tm) is a trademark of FirstBingo.com.
