SAS: snowflake Destined for Beirut, Belgrade and Istanbul

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 14, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- SAS (Other OTC:SASDF): to date, more than 200,000 aircraft seats have been booked on snowflake and interest among travelers is considerable. Capacity usage on board in April was more than 72 percent and www.flysnowflake.com now has an average of 40,000 visits per week.

"The Copenhagen-Pristina route is nearly fully booked and there is continuous demand," said Eva-Karin Dahl, who is responsible for snowflake. "As a result, this route will be extended from May 20 with an extra return flight on Tuesdays."

Traffic program for the winter

In the winter, snowflake will start to serve three new destinations, with the opening of Stockholm-Beirut, Stockholm-Belgrade and Stockholm-Lyon. Lyon is a hub for culture and quality cuisine, as well as an excellent base for those who are interested in winter sports. There are also many passengers who want to fly to/from Beirut and Belgrade. A new route will also be established between Copenhagen and Istanbul.

"The demand on existing routes declines during the winter months and we will implement a reduction of about one return flight per destination in the traffic program that currently applies," said Eva-Karin Dahl.

Starting on October 26, snowflake will operate these new routes:
 Copenhagen-Istanbul Mondays and Fridays
 Stockholm-Beirut Mondays
 Stockholm-Belgrade Wednesdays and Fridays
 Stockholm-Lyon Wednesdays and Saturdays

During the winter, snowflake will fly: Copenhagen to/from Alicante, Athens, Bologna, Istanbul, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Pristina and Sarajevo. Stockholm to/from Alicante, Athens, Barcelona, Beirut, Belgrade, Bologna, Budapest, Dublin, Istanbul, Lyon, Malaga, Nice, Prag and Rom.

"We also want to establish snowflake in Norway and are now reviewing ways in which this can be achieved," continued Dahl.
