LOS ANGELES, July 1, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Los Angeles Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) today announced that its summer speaker series in July will be held at three different locations in the Los Angeles area on July 17, 2003. The programs start at 4 p.m. and the schedule is as follows:
"Professional Ethics" -- Pepperdine University, 800 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 850, Pasadena. Speakers: Mark Morze, former chief financial officer of ZZZZBest and Dr. James Martinoff, professor Pepperdine University.
"Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plans" -- Pepperdine University, 400 Corporate Pointe, First Floor, Culver City. Speakers: Abe Garver and Sam Sheth of Clark/Bardes Consulting.
"Understanding the Game of Mergers and Acquisitions" -- Pepperdine University, 16830 Ventura Blvd., Suite 200, Encino. Speaker: Mindy J. Kaplan, president of Capital Resources & Consulting.
A spokesman for FEI said the programs will be presented once at each of the locations during the summer. Certified Public Accountants also will receive two hours of CPE credit for each presentation they attend. There is no charge to attend the presentations.
