BAY CITY, Mich. and TORONTO, July 29, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ugomedia Interactive Corp. (name change to Sciax Corp. pending) (OTCBB:UGMI), a leader in advanced technology imaging systems, is pleased to announce the launch of its TRVS-3 Under Door Viewer (UDV). U.S. federal agencies are giving the TRVS-3 UDV an overwhelmingly positive reception.
Sciax is the manufacturer of the Tactical Remote Viewing System (TRVS-1), used globally by customs and law enforcement agencies and military units, including the Los Angeles Police Department SWAT Team, Canadian Customs, the German Government, and the U.S. Military.
The TRVS-3's radically new design incorporates super-high-sensitivity video electronics coupled to a small diameter optical system, which allows superior imaging compared to traditional fiber optic systems. The TRVS-3's ability to be mated to the TRVS-1 energized pole allows a 'stand-off' capability unique in the industry, and highly valued by agencies seeking reduced liability and increased safety for personnel.
Unlike its competitors, the TRVS-3 is also sealed against rain, snow and dust. This all-weather capability should ensure easy adoption and usage by military and police tactical teams in international markets.
Nitin Amersey, Chairman and CEO stated, "The under-door viewer is clearly a product in which Sciax has dedicated a large amount of development time and we are pleased to see it ready for field use." He added, "Our focus has been to provide the best technology available for our clients, the TRVS-3 has surpassed our expectations in ease of use and dependability."
Dave Howlett, Vice President of Sales and Marketing stated, "The TRVS-3 is a product enhancement that provides our sales force with the type of equipment demanded by military and law enforcement clients."
The next component in the TRVS series, the TRVS-4 Techcam should also be launched this month. Howlett commented, "We are confident that the TRVS-4's acceptance as a modular surveillance tool will exceed anything on the market today."
In addition to TRVS, Sciax continues to develop key products to enhance its defense and industrial divisions. Ken Smart, president of Sciax, is spearheading the development of the new products.
