LONDON, July 31, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- At a Court Hearing this morning, the Court sanctioned the Scheme of Arrangement under which WPP Group plc ("WPP") will acquire the entire issued share capital of Cordiant Communications Group plc (NYSE:CDA) (LSE:CRI). Accordingly, the acquisition of Cordiant by WPP is expected to complete tomorrow, Friday 1 August 2003.
