Los Angeles Chapter of Financial Executives International Continues Summer Speaker Series in August


LOS ANGELES, August 18, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Los Angeles Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) today announced that its summer speaker series will continue on August 21, 2003, at three different locations in the Los Angeles area. The programs start at 4 p.m. and the schedule is as follows:

"Understanding the Game of Mergers and Acquisitions" - Pepperdine University, 400 Corporate Pointe/First Floor, Culver City. Speaker: Mindy J. Kaplan, president of Capital Resources & Consulting.

"Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plans" - Pepperdine University, 800 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 850, Pasadena. Speakers: Abe Garver and Sam Sheth of Clark/Bardes Consulting.

"Professional Ethics" - Pepperdine University, 16830 Ventura Blvd., Suite 200, Encino. Speakers: Mark Morze, former chief financial officer of ZZZZBest and Dr. James Martinoff, professor Pepperdine University.

The Professional Ethics program recently was the subject of a presentation hosted by commentator Charles Osgood on the CBS Sunday Morning Show.

Certified Public Accountants attending the presentations will receive two hours of CPE credit for each meeting they attend. There is no charge to attend the presentations.
