(Pink Sheets:PDNW) wholly owned subsidiary, On Alert Systems, Inc. announced its new line of products and services supporting the U.S. Government's Homeland Defense initiative. On Alert will market and distribute what it considers to be the answer to Homeland Security's problem in surveillance of our borders, harbors, airports and other important potential targets for acts of terrorism or natural disasters. On Alert will be selling or leasing airships equipped with technology capable of monitoring activities in virtually any day or night environment.
On Alert will now be able to provide several product lines including: Airborne surveillance utilizing Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) both autonomous and controlled as well as the use of airships to provide surveillance of cities, harbors and borders. Global interest in security technology has provided an opportunity for On Alert to team with experts in systems integration for existing and evolving products that could be used in the country's efforts to monitor civilian, military and homeland defense targets as well as provide backup to essential communication services. On Alert has entered into teaming agreements with the following companies: Avionus Corporation currently develops and will provide advanced, fully-VTOL-capable UAV platforms specifically designed for low-cost, clandestine reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition missions, and Boundless Security Systems, Inc., manufacturer of a new generation of digital video security systems that provide superior images, reliability, storage management and interoperability.
The lighter-than-air vehicles are currently under negotiations with designers and manufacturers of unique airships that will allow manned or unmanned station keeping at the 5,000 to 15,000 foot level. Communication back-up systems required by municipalities in emergency situations will be provided by ioWave, Inc. -- their system has the capability for cities and municipalities to provide essential infrastructure requirements including wireless broadband access with voice, data and video service delivery from altitudes of 5-15,000 foot. The ioWave system is currently in use by many communities and foreign countries. The requirement to utilize a low cost, unique, highly durable UAV, capable of hovering or high speed maneuvering as well as airship platforms mandated that On Alert obtain a relationship with an organization which has capabilities in many aeronautical engineering disciplines. On Alert has chosen a respected leader in UAV, robotics and airship research technologies -- The Georgia Tech Research Institute as the team to integrate surveillance, technical and ground crew solutions.
