GOTEBORG, Sept. 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Carmen Systems AB announces that British Airways, one of the world's largest airlines, is expanding their use of Carmen's optimization solutions to cover the crew scheduling for all cabin crew.
Carmen Crew Rostering will make the planning process more efficient and at the same time provides crewmembers with the possibility to request destinations or specific days off in their schedules. British Airways has already introduced the system for all cabin crew on the European routes and the results have been very positive.

"In today's rapidly changing business environment it is critical that we have Carmen's solutions that enable us to respond quickly to both the needs of our staff and the changing market. The extension of the use of Carmen for our long- haul cabin crew continues to build the successful relationship between British Airways and Carmen," he said.
Carmen Systems President and CEO, Per Noren said, "Working together to achieve measurable goals is crucial, and I am pleased that this has resulted in a new order from British Airways. Carmen offers a unique combination of production and decision support tools that is very much in line with current demands.
