STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 24, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Song Networks Svenska AB (Other OTC:SONWF)(Stockholmsborsen:SONW) has signed an agreement with ELFA AB for the supply of a Nordic IP VPN solution. The agreement extends over 2 years and has a value for Song Networks of approximately SEK 3.5 million.
Using the IP VPN solution, ELFA will link its offices and shops in the Nordic region with an office in Poland, as well as establishing a uniform solution for all data and telecommunications traffic. In addition, all connected workstations will be given access to the Internet.
"With the business-critical traffic that passes between our shops and offices, we have to have a reliable solution with a high capacity. One of the reasons for this is that our e-commerce site (elfa.se), which is responsible for 35% of our turnover, is connected to the network. And Song was the operator that was able to supply such a solution on a Nordic basis at a reasonable cost," says Anders Rydh, Finance Director at ELFA.
All the workstations are connected with 2 Mbit/s connections. The solution is supplied with QoS (Quality of Service), which handles the prioritisation of voice, data and Internet traffic in accordance with predetermined criteria.
