COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- A little more than a month into the 2003 season there is a buzz circling about Football.com (www.football.com).
The site launched a new look in August that is easy to navigate and attractive to view, both complements to Football.com's strong reputation for delivering every available bit of relevant news in a timely fashion.
Gene Moss is one of the site's many new users.
"It's easy to find your way around," said Moss. "Sometimes I get satisfaction out of just exploring the site and finding interesting information, along with current news and stats."
Moss is not alone. During the month of September more than one million unique football fanatics visited Football.com to see first-hand what all the excitement is about.
"The length we go to get our information is second to none," said D.J. Boyer, senior writer and content editor. "Die-hard NFL fans can tell a legitimate site from one that merely throws substandard work together."
Boyer is also helping to expand the reaches of Football.com. He serves as the co-host of "Football Central," one of the hottest new online sports shows. Boyer and fellow co-host Tony Finn breakdown every NFL game on Wednesday and Sunday nights, and occasionally welcome guests from Football.com's family of writers.
Founded in 1997, Football.com has captured an audience of fans that generates over four million page views a month during football season. The site offers compelling free content to its users from an independent and unbiased viewpoint, covering all levels of the sport, from Pop Warner to professional leagues.
The interactive component of Football.com provides bulletin boards, football-related classifieds, and a wealth of links to team and fan sites alike.
When asked how he would describe the site to a friend, Moss responded, "If you're looking for current stats, football news or just football information in general, this is the site where you'll want to start."
