LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Honorable Asa Hutchinson, Under Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, will launch the first increment of the US-VISIT program at Los Angeles International Airport at 9:30 AM (PST) on January 5, 2004. The US-VISIT program will confirm the identity of foreign visitors traveling to the U.S. with visas and will be implemented at 115 airports and 14 seaports on January 5, 2004. US-VISIT assists in securing our borders and facilitating the entry/exit process while enhancing the integrity of our immigration system and respecting the privacy or our visitors.
