STANTON, Jan. 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Xtreme Companies, Inc. (OTCBB:XTRI) announced today that it will be exhibiting at the Fire-Rescue East 2004 Expo in Jacksonville, FL on January 23 & 24, 2004. The show which is sponsored by the Florida Fire and Emergency Services Foundation, has become the premier fire and emergency services exposition in the Southeast. On exhibition will be Extreme's FRJ 1250 and FRJ 1550 high performance rescue boats.
Xtreme Companies, Inc. manufactures the revolutionary Patrol Jet and Fire Rescue Jet, the world's first JET DRIVE, quick response emergency vehicle that puts Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Services and Military personnel on the scene quicker than any other competing product on the market today. The Company's products include: a 12-foot Fire Rescue Jet ("FRJ-1250"), a 15-foot Fire Rescue Jet ("FRJ-1550"), a 12-foot Patrol Rescue Jet ("PRJ-1200") and a 15-foot Patrol Rescue Jet ("PRJ-1500"). The Fire Rescue Jet is designed to fight fires on the water and near shore. It is uniquely designed so one person can control the boat and the fire apparatus. The Patrol Rescue Jet is designed to provide security in inland waterways and harbors.
The Company's 12-foot and 15-foot boats are quick response watercraft that can be easily transported to emergency areas. The hulls incorporate patented "V" shaped hull designs and are built using hand laid "S" glass, which produces a fiberglass hull that is stronger, yet lighter than conventional fiberglass hulls. The unique convergence of design and technology gives the Company's boats the ability to handle heavy seas and large surf and the ability to run in less than a foot of water.
Xtreme's boats have all been successfully tested and proven in all types of marine environments, such as: flooded rivers, remote beaches, hurricane-engulfed towns, heavy surf conditions, shallow lakes, swift water dam rescues and in U.S. ports.
The boat's key features/capabilities include:
-- Rapid response (with speeds of up to 50mph +) for patrol purposes, search and rescue activities, extinguishing fires and reacting to nuclear/radiological explosions on or near the water. -- Extinguishing traditional and chemical fires with the boat's foam storage tank on or near the water. The boat may also be used as a pumping source for fire trucks. -- Traveling in very close quarters, and performing in less than one foot of water. -- Deployment in flooded rivers, remote beaches, hurricane-engulfed towns, heavy surf conditions, shallow lakes, swift water dam rescues and in U.S. Ports. -- Helicopter lifting points for easy deployment.
Xtreme CEO Kevin Ryan stated, "Fire Rescue East (FRE) is not only the first but also the largest industry show of the year. FRE is held prior to fire department budget preparation. The benefit is decision-makers have the opportunity to see the latest products and services before they allocate their budgets." He added, "Our goal is to reach a vast, captive audience and aggressively market to that end user."
