Merkl as President and Chief Operating Officer of Secure IT, the federal division of COMSYS. Bob will oversee all business efforts and help fulfill the division's value proposition of being the one-stop resource for information technology consultants interested in opportunities in the federal government market.
Merkl has an extensive military career, as well as first-hand experience in sales, management and operations for IT companies. Prior to joining COMSYS, he was Chairman, President and CEO of Enherent Corp., a publicly-traded company that provides integrated technology solutions and staffing services to Fortune 500 clients. He also served as an Account Manager at EDS, a leading global IT services company. Merkl's distinguished career in the U.S. Army spanned 23 years and included a variety of senior command posts, culminating as Chief, Western Hemisphere Operations.

Merkl holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Military Academy in West Point, a Master of Science in Military Arts and Science from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, a Master's degree in National Security from the National War College and a Master of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Chicago.
