STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Jan Wangard, 45, passed away suddenly on Tuesday. Jan was working out of Mexico City as Head of Skandia's Latin America Division and member of Skandia's executive management. Jan Wangard has been employed in the Skandia group since 1979.
Hans-Erik Andersson, president and CEO of Skandia, said in a comment:
"Jan Wangard was a good friend, an inspiring colleague and a competent leader. His broad and deep knowledge of the insurance industry has been of great benefit to Skandia. Jan's many years of experience in Latin American business put him in a unique position among Swedes.
"Today all of our thoughts and condolences go to Jan's family. I know that I speak for many colleagues and friends as I express our deep sharing in their sorrow."
