(OTCBB:VYST) Systems today announced engineering developments to its Concealed Weapons Detection Secure Scan Portal, which enables the company to market the portal at more affordable prices. This new pricing is expected to attract more distributors, larger orders, and reduce the paperwork approval process when dealing with governmental contracts.
Bill Jordan, Manufacturing Engineer, appointed by the company in November'03 was able to implement a number of cost cutting measures to the Secure Scan, allowing the company to reduce its overall cost by 20%. These changes did not diminish the performance of the units, but instead increased the functionality of the system in several areas, while improving the net profit margins. The driving force behind these improvements is to make the technology much more affordable for the buyers and end users who will now be able to economically buy as many units as required and stay within government budget requirements.
Chief Technology Officer, Gunther Than stated, "Our in-house engineering team continues to work closely with the Federal Lab, INEEL, further reducing the cost of the Secure Scan while improving it's capabilities. Price points are especially important when dealing with federal government contracts and GSA (Government Services Administration) schedules and the fiscal year procurement budgeting."
