HOLLYWOOD, March 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- CinemaElectric, Inc. (OTCBB:CINM) will debut two dynamic multimedia graphics applications for mobile phones at CTIA Wireless 2004. The applications, "Portable Hollywood(tm)" and "PocketGirls(tm)" include full screen, high-resolution color graphics in a glossy magazine-style application that delivers new images and captions daily to mobile phone users.
CTIA is the largest wireless event in the world, drawing professionals from 90 countries.
The J2ME applications will bring daily content to movie fans and glamour model aficionados via their mobile phone. Approximately 100 million global mobile phone users can now access the kind of multimedia product CinemaElectric produces. These "mobile multimedia" subscribers grew at a rate of 14% in the six months prior to January 1st, 2004 (data EMC). The numbers are expected to continue to grow as users swap old mobnbile phones for new, multimedia-enabled terminals.
"Portable Hollywood(tm)" will feature the hottest movie and music stars via a custom collection of "red carpet" photos. In addition, information about the star and the event, as well as celebrity trivia will be offered to the consumer, updated daily. The images are adapted exclusively for the mobile phone screen by CinemaElectric's patent-pending Dense Media Format(tm) process.
"Pocket Girls(tm)" features a daily delivery of Victoria Secret-style bikini and lingerie models plus dating tips for men. This mild adult content does not contain full nudity and is similar to the popular Sports Illustrated swimsuit model photos.
CinemaElectric will be showcasing the applications, as well as their award-winning PocketCinema(tm) mobile video & graphics content at the Nokia booth, number 2547, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, March 22-24. The applications create a de-facto subscription service as users are entitled to 30 days of unlimited usage for the cost of the download fee. The application is designed for Nokia Series 60 smart phones. Other multimedia handsets will be supported in the near future, and video and audio content are expected be added to the applications as delivery technology evolves.
