ORLANDO, Fla., May 4, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- ICR Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ICRX) announced today that its electrical contracting division, Meehan Electric Company, has been awarded the electrical contract for the Athens Multimodal Transportation Center. The project is being developed by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County and the General Contractor for the project is Aldridge, Incorporated. The value for the contract is $367,000 before any additions or change orders. The project is scheduled to begin construction during the third quarter of 2004.
ICR Systems' President and CEO, Trey Meehan, commented, "With a significant percentage of the jobs being bid in our market being pushed into the late 2nd and early 3rd quarters, combined with our backlog of current work, I am becoming increasingly confident that we will have an improved second half as compared to a year ago."
He added, "We are also in the final negotiations of acquiring an electrical service company under the ICR of Georgia division that will help to accelerate the growth of the Gwinnett/Hall County Area. I expect that this acquisition will be finalized before the end of May and we will report the details at that time."
