ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands, May 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- KPN will be calculating the kilometres travelled by its employees automatically using the GeoAccess Expenses Web Service technology from AND Products. This will translate into an efficiency and declaration savings of tens of thousands of euros for KPN Holland on an annual basis.
KPN is not the only company endeavouring to save money in this manner. The Inland Revenue Department, ING Bank, and numerous ministries in the Netherlands use AND software and technology with this same goal in mind. Integrated into the HR portal, these software solutions enable companies and organisations to calculate the exact number of kilometres travelled by their employees each day, and with that the amount of compensation to which they are entitled for commuting and travel expenses in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the world.
User-friendly
"This tool, called AND GeoAccess Expenses, is a Web service tool that can be easily integrated into existing HR and financial software," explains AND Account Manager Roland van der Horst. "The distances travelled by employees are always calculated the same way, thereby eliminating any disagreements on travel declarations. The tool calculates the actual distance travelled by road."
Less administrative work
The AND GeoAccess Expenses is integrated into KPN's HR Portal, which runs on a PeopleSoft platform. This automated process saves a considerable amount of administrative work.
