AMC's Upcoming Release of `Gangsta's' Masterpiece Album Features Several Rap Industry Legends and Superstars


SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif., May 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- AMC American Music Corporation's (Pink Sheets:AMCT) upcoming foreign release of Gangsta's solo album "Penitentiary Chances" features several notable and platinum recording artists including Ice Cube, Butch Cassidy, Too Short, Christopher Williams, Tha Eastsidaz, CJ Mac, Jayo Felony, Kokane, and C-Bo.

The single Big Boy, featuring Ice Cube and Butch Cassidy, debuted on the soundtrack of Ice Cube's movie, "Friday After Next." Gangsta's current album, which AMC projects will gross over $5 million worldwide, is ultimately Gangsta's most important. Gangsta has been quoted as saying, "I went all out putting this together. I think every artist has a masterpiece, this is mine!"

The key to a successful rap album is production, and the Album features music produced by several important and successful rap producers including Sir Jinx, Young Tre, Rhythm D, Suede and Gangsta, himself. Lending support to the production are music industry "Heavy Hitters," Ice Cube and his Westside Connection partner, multi-platinum selling recording artist, W.C.

Since the release of the debut hit single entitled "Homeboy" fans have been captivated by Gangsta. In 1997, Gangsta joined the duo known as the Comrad. In the past several years, Gangsta has made appearances on records for Westside Connection, Mack 10, Master P, N.W.A., Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and W.C.

AMC acquired the exclusive worldwide foreign distribution rights of Gangsta's solo album featuring Ice Cube. This album's international commercial release is planned for August 2004.
