CUMMING, Ga., May 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- PlanetLink Communications Inc., (OTCBB:PLKC), a provider of satellite-based products and services, announced today that it has entered into its second test agreement in the Mexican market. The first agreement, announced March 18, was with a Mexican electric utility, and this second agreement is with one of Mexico's largest bus companies. The test will serve as a field trial of PlanetLink's TransTRAK mobile asset management system, and given that the test proceeds according to expectations, PlanetLink could see revenues from this contract as early as October 2004. The bus company has 10,000 vehicles, most of which are buses.
"We are pleased with the traction we have been able to gain in the Mexican market. Our TransTRAK system offers demonstrable value to our potential customers. This agreement with the bus company is evidence of the significant potential there is for our product in Mexico as we continue to build our knowledge base and tailor our software to meet their local needs," stated PlanetLink Communications CEO, Mr. Dewey Bain. "Once we have signed a contract with the bus company, we will work with them to develop an installation schedule for their 10,000 vehicles, however, we are optimistic that we could see the first revenues as early as the fourth quarter 2004."
In accordance with the agreement, the testing period will commence during the first week of June and be conducted over a period of 30 to 60 days. As with the Mexican electric utility, the bus company will test PlanetLink's TransTRAK system in a live environment.
