Immediatek's NetBurn A Big Success On Pixies' First Brixton Show

Concert represents first ever implementation of Immediatek's dual technologies

DALLAS, June 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Immediatek Inc. (OTCBB:ITEK), creator of NetBurn Secure(TM) digital delivery and copy control solutions, announced today that its concert recording unit, DiscLive Inc., successfully implemented for the first time ever Immediatek's NetBurn(TM) technology in a live concert environment by making the Pixies sold-out show at the Brixton Academy yesterday available to music fans only a few hours after the performance had ended. DiscLive will continue to offer NetBurns for the three remaining Pixies shows in Brixton today through June 5.

According to Zach Bair, CEO and founder of Immediatek, the Pixies offer consists of 1,500 unit limited-edition, premium, collectible CDs per show that are available to order from DiscLive's website (www.disclive.com). Each purchase includes a special access code that enables music fans to download and burn that night's concert at their home computer over the Internet anywhere in the world. In addition to the 1,500 individually numbered collector's units, each show is available to 1,000 music fans on a "NetBurn only option."

"These European shows will be 'record only,' meaning that we will not have DiscLive's on-site manufacturing system at the tour site," says Bair. "Therefore, by making NetBurns available, we are providing almost instant gratification for fans so that they can enjoy the music of the Pixies while they are awaiting delivery of their collectible CD."

Most recently, during the American and Canadian tour of the Pixies that started in Minneapolis on April 13 and ended May 1 and 2 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, DiscLive sold live concert CDs onsite to an average of more than 20 percent of the attendees, and in some cases up to 50 percent of attendees. All of the 16,000 CDs made available on this tour have been sold out.

Sami Valkonen, president of DiscLive, said that the pace in which the Pixies April tour CDs sold out took everyone by surprise, and the demand for the Brixton shows has continued this phenomenon. As of this morning, almost two-thirds of the available units for the Brixton shows have already been sold. "We love working with the Pixies and treasure our relationship with the band, and look forward to continuing our relationship on their fall tour."

DiscLive is the pioneer in the quickly growing market of live discs available immediately after the concert, having sold more live discs at concert venues than its competitors combined, and completing tours from Vermont to California and now also in Canada.

The company's mobile recording and production facility can produce 800 high quality CDs in less than 20 minutes. The New York-based company is headed by Rich Isaacson, CEO, and Sami Valkonen, President, each of whom have extensive track records in the music industry. A May 2 headline in The New York Times dubbed the DiscLive offer of legal high quality CDs available immediately after the concert "Rock's Best New Souvenir."

Immediatek, parent company of DiscLive, is the developer of NetBurn Secure(TM) (www.netburncd.com), the only "single-click CD download and burn" software product on the market that helps record labels, artists and content providers to curb Internet piracy and protect their revenues by providing copy control even after digital music has been burned to disc. NetBurn Secure(TM) also employs technology by third parties such as Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT). Immediatek's website is www.immediatek.com.
