NEW YORK, June 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Globix Corporation (OTCBB:GBXX) announced today that it is hosting Find.com, the new business-focused search engine from FindSVP.com (OTCBB:FSVP), Empire Media, and TripleHop Technologies, that launched in beta in mid-June. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the stipulations of the agreement, Globix is providing a complete managed services solution in a Windows(tm) environment. This includes supplying hardware, software, managed services and load testing. The Find.com architecture consists of a common combination of switches, firewalls, webservers, application servers and database servers, all of which have been integrated and optimized to support the demanding performance requirements of a public search engine.
"We approached Globix because we needed a hosting company that had the people and the expertise to build a best-in-breed, stable, and secure platform for this new service, which is meant to go head-to-head with the other search engines," according to Chris Travers, CEO of Find.com and Empire Media.
