ATLANTA, July 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Optio(r) Software (OTCBB:OPTO) today announced that it has formed a channel partnership with RCM Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:RCMT), North America's largest, full-service value-added reseller of QAD enterprise software solutions for manufacturers.
Under the channel partnership agreement, RCM Technologies will sell Optio Software solutions, as well as provide implementation, technical support, programming and ongoing consulting services for Optio solutions to QAD customers in the United States and Canada.

The reseller relationship with RCM Technologies encompasses the following Optio Software solutions: Optio DesignStudio(tm), Optio e.ComIntegrate(tm), Optio e.ComPresent(tm), OptioFAX(tm) and Optio Print Manager(tm).
A QAD Channel Alliance partner since 1997, RCM Technologies is authorized to sell QAD products and to provide services to specific market segments, including the automotive, consumer products, electronics, industrial, food and beverage, and medical industries. Since RCM Technologies began selling QAD products, it has consistently led North America in the delivery of QAD business solutions.
QAD has named Optio as its worldwide preferred output management partner. The agreement with RCM Technologies further strengthens Optio's position in the QAD market.
