Patrick Whalen Joins PracticeXpert as Director of IT to Establish and Operate National IT Services Support Center

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- PracticeXpert, Inc. (OTCBB:PXPT), today announced that Mr. Patrick Whalen has joined the Company to fill the position of Director of Information Technology. In that position, Mr. Whalen will be responsible for establishing and operating a National IT Services Support Center ("NITSSC").

Mr. Whalen brings to PracticeXpert two decades of experience in information technology, including substantial experience with a wide range of healthcare companies. As the CEO of Resource Computing Inc., an information systems security consulting firm located in Spokane, Washington, Mr. Whalen has provided a diverse range of IT, security and network consulting services to a variety of clients. Among other industry and manufacturer specific certifications, Mr. Whalen holds the premier information security designation of a Certified Information Systems Security Professional ("CISSP").

The NITSSC will be located in Spokane, Washington, and will be responsible for securely providing a diverse range of IT support services to PracticeXpert's multi-state operations and clients, including network maintenance and support, equipment and software sourcing, security, information and data archiving, communications systems, email management and regulatory compliance. Further, the NITSSC will be charged with seamlessly integrating new acquisitions into the PracticeXpert infrastructure, as well as ensuring robust and reliable services are provided to all PracticeXpert staff and clients at the lowest cost possible.

Mr. Pat Whalen, commenting on his appointment, stated, "I am very excited at the opportunity to work with the PracticeXpert management team. With major processing centers in five states, satellite operations in another three or four states, and clients in 29 states, establishing effective, consistent IT services is a challenge, but one for which I am extremely well suited. Every one of our 180 employees relies on his or her computer, and the operating systems and software on those computers, to do his or her job. I am looking forward to helping every division maximize labor utility and drive down costs through effective IT management."

Mr. Zima Hartz, Executive vice president, stated, "IT is mission critical in our business. Next to labor, IT and all of its related costs, is our largest expense. Further, it is also one of our most easily exploited competitive advantages. In combination with our proprietary PXpert Revenue Management System, effective IT management will allow us to deliver a superior product to our customers, at a lower cost. Further, by locating our IT support center in Spokane, we have placed it where costs are lower than in other major cities, but where we still have access to a talented and educated labor force as our business continues to grow. With a projected five new divisions by year's end, Pat's role will be very important to successfully integrating these new divisions into our overall operating infrastructure."
