Telelogic's Automated Lifecycle Management Solution Praised by Butler Group

Leading U.K. Industry Analyst Firm Believes Offering to be 'Mature' and 'Skillfully Combined'

MALMO, Sweden and IRVINE, Calif. Sept. 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced that its Automated Lifecycle Management (ALM) offering and the Telelogic tools supporting ALM have been praised in a `Technology Audit' written by U.K. industry analyst firm Butler Group.

The eight-page audit evaluates Telelogic's ALM solution, consisting of the integrated tool suites Telelogic DOORS(R) (for requirements management), SYNERGY(TM) (for change/configuration management) and TAU(R) (for systems/software modeling, development and test). Telelogic's ALM solution spans all phases of the application development lifecycle.

According to Andrew Kellett -- Senior Analyst -- Butler Group, "Telelogic has put together a mature and skillfully combined technology offering. Its focus on the visual delivery of requirements capture, the strong automated support for design, modeling and code generation, and its change and configuration management services are key drivers of an end-to-end solution responding to the needs of the technology development marketplace today."

The firm goes on to state, "The overall Telelogic offering provides integrated services that go well beyond simply linking a disparate toolset. Its build and delivery capabilities drill down and are focused on what is needed by a particular role or task within the development lifecycle. Butler Group believes that the strength of the Telelogic solution comes from the integrated, open nature, and flexible deployment capabilities of its software lifecycle development and management tools."

"This is a great validation not only of the strengths of each individual tool suite, but of our ALM vision as a whole," said Anders Lidbeck, president and CEO of Telelogic. "More and more companies are seeing the value of our requirements-driven lifecycle solution as well as the in-depth and unique capabilities of our standalone systems and software solutions."

While Butler Group was positive about all three of Telelogic's tool suites, the firm singled out the SYNERGY change and configuration management (CM) solution for special praise. The audit states , "We believe that a key differentiator from traditional CM tools is the product's ability to break down change and configuration management into basic tasks, enabling a more detailed level of management and tracking to be evolved."
