ATLANTA, Sept. 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Chartwell and Electric Light & Power have joined together to recognize excellence in utility marketing and customer service with their Projects of the Year Awards. The awards honor the most innovative customer service initiatives or application implementations and the most creative, attractive and effective utility marketing efforts undertaken by electric and/or gas utilities in the last year.

Dozens of entries from utilities across the country were submitted. The winners and runners-ups will be announced during the opening general session of Chartwell's annual Energy Marketing and Customer Service Conference (EMACS), October 26-29, 2004.
