Sciax Reports Product Development Advances with Command and Control Communications Capabilities

BAY CITY, Mich. and TORONTO, Nov. 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sciax Corp. (Pink Sheets:SCXC) reported today that R&D partner Eomax has successfully completed proof-of-concept testing required for the implementation of wireless networking capabilities as part of the Wolf Pack(TM) tactical remote viewing system.

System modules resulting from Eomax development work will enable any Wolf Pack(TM) configuration to interface as a client device on encrypted 802.11b wireless networks. This interface will provide streaming digital video and remotely operated camera functions for fixed command post locations and for mobile command and control requirements. Specialized antennae and boosters that significantly extend the effective range of ad hoc Wolf Pack(TM) wireless networks will be deployed as part of a total system solution provided by Sciax and Eomax.

"We believe that the availability of these new modular components further extends and solidifies the technical superiority of the Wolf Pack system," stated Ralph Manore, Vice President of Operations at Sciax. "As with all other Wolf Pack component developments, these new wireless networking capabilities will be compatible with all currently deployed Wolf Pack systems."

"Personnel engaged in Homeland Security operations are increasingly interested in command and control capabilities within the context of their visual intelligence gathering requirements. We intend to fulfill this need with a flexible wireless networking capability that further enhances the modular, reconfigurable design of our Wolf Pack system" stated Ken Smart, President of Eomax Corp.

The Wolf Pack(TM) is a highly modularized opto-electronic remote viewing system used by law enforcement and military personnel. The reconfigurable, multi-operational design of Wolf Pack(TM) makes the system ideal for many applications in physical security, drug and contraband interdiction, tactical response and protective security. Wolf Pack(TM) electronics and optical components are built to high standards of durability, allowing successful deployment in harsh conditions that would prohibit the use of many conventional imaging systems.
