Leni Boeren (40) will be appointed to the Management Board of Robeco Groep N.V. on 1 January 2005. She will be responsible for the Robeco Direct business unit, and will chair the board of Robeco Direct N.V. She will also be responsible for all Robeco Direct's banking activities in Europe. Leni Boeren currently is Managing Director of Information Services, and a member of the Operational Committee of Euronext N.V.
Robeco Direct is Robeco's direct sales channel. Focusing on investors with assets between EUR 50,000 and 500,000, Robeco Direct serves over 500,000 private clients and holds a banking license.
Leni Boeren has previously worked at Robeco, as head of the Securities Services Strategy department of IRIS, the research institute of Rabobank and Robeco, from 1992 to 1994. After that, she was head of the Securities Product Management department from 1994 to 1997. After leaving Robeco, Leni Boeren worked in various functions at the securities and options exchange. She was Marketing director of Amsterdam Exchanges N.V. from 1997 to 2000, and Executive Director of Marketing from 2000 to 2003. She was also a member of the Executive Committee of Euronext N.V., and subsequently was appointed Managing Director of Information Services.
