COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, Nov. 22, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today, the Board of Directors of Idaho Independent Bank (IIB) announced the appointment of Kurt R. Gustavel as President and Chief Operating Officer of Idaho Independent Bank, effective November 19, 2004.

Kurt has held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the past year and will now take on the additional responsibilities and duties of President. Mr. Gustavel joined IIB in September 1994 and is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems. In June 2004, he graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Kurt Gustavel is an Idaho native who serves on the Boise Business Information Center Advisory Board, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Venture Capital Committee, the Idaho Bankers Association Public Affairs Committee, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Idaho Bioscience Association. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Boise and is currently the Secretary-Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the Idaho Community Banker's Association.
Jack W. Gustavel, who formerly served as IIB's Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer, will continue to serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
