SEATTLE, Dec. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Reeltime Rentals, Inc., (Pink Sheets:RLTR) is pleased to announce the successful completion of Phase II Testing of the Company's "Next Generation" Rental-on-Demand technology. The Company has implemented a three phase beta test to solicit feedback from potential customers on issues such as functionality and ease-of-use to be implemented into the service before a national launch.
Over 20,000 consumers expressed interest in participating in the testing process, and Phase II enrolled a significantly larger control group than did Phase I. Both phases consisted of testers gaining access to a free feature length film streamed straight to their PC's. To date, user feedback about ReelTime's IRDS technology remains positive.
Upon completion of Phase II of the beta test, Alex Stanczyk, ReelTime CEO, commented, "ReelTime has now demonstrated the ability to stream a very high quality video stream to several thousand viewers with very rapid download times. The overall feedback was extremely encouraging with numerous testers expressing their amazement with how quickly their movie downloaded and the excellent picture quality. The foundation has been laid for the third and final phase of our testing before our national launch."
In the first two phases of testing, users reported their feedback to ReelTime via their website or by emailing their development team directly. From a technological development perspective, ReelTime has successfully proven the stability of its netcode, speed of download streams, DRM encryption, and the high level of video quality that their technology is capable of delivering.
