Abrams learned at the Berkshire Visitors Bureau's monthly Tourism Tuesday luncheon in October that, "That was the last day to be considered for entry into this yearly display of creative talent from the Berkshires!" Abrams explains. "When the luncheon was over, I left Pittsfield's Crowne Plaza Hotel and dashed across the street to the museum. The irony was that this year's theme, 'Around the World,' completely fit the focus of my national radio show! The challenge was fitting photos and memorabilia of so many extraordinary destinations prominently on the tree!" Abrams notes.
Abrams' tree, on view through December 31, 2004, boasts photos close to home and globally: Boston's Charles Street Inn, which Abrams names as her favorite hotel in the world, and Williamstown Massachusetts' The Orchards, which she describes as, "A 5-Diamond Euro-chic experience in our platinum countryside," providing visitors to the museum with a unique look at incredible hotels nearby and destinations as far away as Taiwan and Hong Kong.
