STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mats Gardsell, currently Director of Marketing at AB Lindex, has been appointed as the new Sales Director for Lindex in Sweden. He will take up his new assignment during spring 2005.
Mats Gardsell has been Director of Marketing at Lindex for over two years. As Director of Marketing, Mats Gardsell has been working with the development and strengthening of the Lindex brand, which has contributed to a positive visitor's trend in the Lindex's stores in all countries.
"Sweden is the Lindex Group's largest and most important market. With his brand-building experience, Mats Gardsell is the obvious candidate to, together with the Swedish sales organisation, further strengthen Lindex's position in the Swedish market," says Goran Bille, President and CEO of AB Lindex.
Mats Gardsell has significant experience of branding, retail textile trading, and concept development at an international level. He has previously worked at Levi Strauss & Co in Europe, first as Marketing Manager and later as Marketing and Licensing Director.
Mats Gardsell has also worked as a business development and business strategies consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in Brussels. He was also responsible for the roll-out of the KFC franchise concept in Australia and has been involved with retail marketing at the Exxon group in Australia.
