Silverpop Bolsters European Presence With London-Based Office

Silverpop Opens London Office to Better Serve United Kingdom Customers and Enhance European Presence

ATLANTA, Feb. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Silverpop, a leading provider of comprehensive permission-based email marketing solutions, announced today the expansion of its European operations with the opening of an office in London.

Silverpop's decision to expand to the United Kingdom was based on the desire to provide the best service possible to current clients and prospects in the area. The London office will build upon Silverpop's success with existing clients in the region, which includes two of the top five global banks in London, as well as Skype, British Sky Broadcasting and Gizmondo.

"We are very pleased with the quality of services that Silverpop has provided to our email program," said Niklas Zennstrom, Skype CEO and co-founder. "We look forward to their local presence in Europe and working together to enhance Skype's customer communications."

Silverpop will bring its email marketing expertise to the U.K. through extensive thought capital and market studies. Among the company's first initiatives is to release the results of an email market study that will indicate the key differences in email deliverability in the U.S. and U.K.

"As companies are realizing the benefits that can be gleaned by using the Internet to acquire and retain customers, online marketing is undergoing explosive growth in the U.K.," said Bill Nussey, CEO of Silverpop. "Email marketing is a fundamental ingredient of any online marketing program. Our expertise and our product are ideally suited to meet the demands of this growing market."

Silverpop will launch its European operations with an initial debut at Technology For Marketing 2005, the UK's premier online marketing tradeshow.
