FORT LEE, N.J., Feb. 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Leading SSL VPN technology company Whale Communications today announced that its CTO, Noam Ben-Yochanan, will address the prestigious RSA conference. The session, which will take place on Tuesday, February 15th at 5:35 p.m. at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California, will focus on SSL VPN remote access at the application-layer.
The session will address how an XML-based language would establish basic standards for web application security, including URL structure, header information and cookie handling. The session will impart an understanding of application-layer packet information.
"Enterprises are moving away from the paradigm of perimeter security and shifting towards granular, application aware access to corporate resources," said Ben-Yochanan, adding that it is imperative that application vendors be held to standards to ensure security and interoperability. "When a vendor releases an application, an automatic description of that application behavior should also be released."
In addition to speaking for the second year running, Whale will exhibit at booth No. 1528 its next-generation Application Aware(tm) SSL VPN, a universal secure access gateway which raised the security and functionality bar for SSL VPN vendors and is setting the technology standards for large enterprises implementing remote access.
Whale has been recognized by analysts as a leader in the SSL VPN space and credited with driving product development and termed a visionary for its application-centric approach, which ensures the utmost security and functionality, providing enterprises a long-standing return on their investment.
