Temecula Wine Country Newsletter Debuts

TEMECULA VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Starting today, the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association will begin publishing a monthly newsletter that exclusively focuses on what's going on in Temecula's Wine Country.

Temecula Valley Vine Times, the first newsletter of its kind, will provide the media with an informative and timely look at the latest expansions, newest wineries, developments, people and accomplishments in Wine Country.

The easy-to-read format is designed to keep readers on top of the fastest growing wine-making region in Southern California. With 24 wineries already producing award-winning wine and as many as six more on the way, the Temecula Valley is experiencing unprecedented growth.

"In the 31 years since the first commercial Temecula Valley wine was produced, our region has grown to more than 20 wineries, many of which produce wines that have brought national recognition," said Phil Baily, co-owner of Baily Vineyard & Winery and president of the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association. "By joining together in a strong association we leverage those successes by communicating them to the consumer."

The newsletter is written and produced by Parallax Communications, a Temecula-based public relations and communications company. Its prinicpal, Don McAuliffe, covered Wine Country as a business reporter for 6 years.

"Mr. McAuliffe was our first choice to write the newsletter," explained Linda Kissam, executive director of the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association. "We feel his professionalism, creative skills and long term relationship with our wine region brings an added-value dimension to this outreach project."
