Ekwan-X Purchases Aster Satellite Images


TORONTO, March 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ekwan-X, Inc.(Pink Sheets:EKWX) is please to announce that it has entered into an agreement to purchase 100,000 sq kilometers of Aster satellite images from Aster Images Incorporated of Arvada, Colorado. These images cover a vast area of southwest Nevada stretching from Las Vegas to Reno. This large region contains several areas of known intensive mineralization.

Aster Images Incorporated is the leading supplier of Aster hyperspectral satellite imagery. The Aster satellite is operated by N.A.S.A. and the Government of Japan.

Ekwan-X will utilize these images to identify regions where it in can deploy the EKWAN-1 AIRBORNE HYPERSPECTRAL INSTRUMENT to identify high potential mineralized targets.

The Aster satellite imagery will provide the large regional back ground information at 90 sq. meters ground resolution. The Ekwan-1 airborne imagery provides 10 sq. meters of ground resolution.

The Ekwan-1 instrument can accurately pinpoint multiple mineralized targets from the satellite images. The instrument will provide a much faster and more cost effective method of exploration than conventional techniques. This will substantially increase the probability of Ekwan-X finding a mine.
