LONDON and HOUSTON, March 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- KWI, the leading provider of trading and risk management software for the global energy industry, today announced the appointment of Jon Davies to Vice President Product Management. Building on his eight years' experience at KWI, Mr. Davies will be in charge of driving future product development, ensuring that KWI's offering continues to meet customers' evolving needs. In his role, Mr. Davies will assume responsibility for the imminent second release of K2, KWI's sophisticated multi-commodity trading platform.

Mr. Davies joined KWI as a senior consultant in 1997 as the seventh employee during the early days of the company. In 1998 he became regional manager for Australia and New Zealand, during which time he set up KWI's first overseas operation in Sydney. Upon his return to the UK in 2000, he was appointed Vice President Professional Aervices EMEA and given responsibility for creating and managing a dedicated KWI consulting team tasked with providing consulting and support throughout Europe. In addition, Jon was involved in establishing and developing key partnerships and customers in North America and Japan. Prior to joining KWI, Mr. Davies was a senior technology consultant at Coopers and Lybrand in London. He holds a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering from Bristol University.
Mr. Davies will split his time between KWI's offices in Europe and North America. He will replace Richard Hooke who is leaving his position as Chief Technology Officer, but will remain on KWI's Board of Directors.
