FaceKey to Implement Face-Tracking Software in Surveillance DVRs


SAN ANTONIO, March 22, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- FaceKey Corporation (Pink Sheets:FEKY), a biometrics technology provider that specializes in security and access control, announced that the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding Agreement with a security solutions provider to implement its multiple face tracking software engine in the provider's surveillance Digital Video Recorders (DVR).

"This agreement is a very positive development of FaceKey's face-tracking software as it gives us a specific platform in which to showcase our revolutionary biometric technology. The ability to program and integrate this technology specifically into a digital video recorder will greatly enhance the equipment's surveillance capabilities and increase the efficiency with which it operates," commented Yevgeny B. The security provider plans to initially implement FaceKey's face-tracking technology into its computer-based DVRs. Computer-based DVRs are one of two types of surveillance Digital Video Recorders, the other one being Embedded DVRs, where all application functions are embedded in firmware (software encoded on chips) of the recorder. FaceKey anticipates that upon the successful performance of their face-tracking technology in computer-based DVRs, that the Company will begin to incorporate the same capabilities in Embedded recorders as well.
