STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Teligent announces details today of a substantial order from a leading communications group in Southeast Asia. The order entails the delivery of base installations of the generic multi-application platform Teligent P90/E, together with a company-wide network usage license. The unnamed communications group has thereby acquired the right to utilise the Teligent P90/E concept in order to build a new service network architecture which will accelerate future service developments.
The Teligent P90/E platform concept with its graphical service creation environment, the Teligent Application Builder, allows the operator to easily develop and modify service offerings as well as prototype new services within short lead times internally. This concept moves the service development closer to the market demands and the end-users, which allows faster implementation and quicker reaction to market demands.
During 2004 Teligent achieved a major breakthrough in the Southeast Asian market and signed agreements with some of the major carriers in the region; i.e. Telekom Malaysia and SingTel.
