STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 07, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- NC Intressenter AB, through Tele2 AB's President and CEO Lars-Johan Jarnheimer in his capacity as the single largest shareholder in NC Intressenter, today reported that it had liquidated financial instruments, corresponding to 624,300 B shares in Tele2. The liquidation is a result of the County Administrative Court's decision per March 31, 2005, regarding the tax assessment of share and option benefits. Lars-Johan Jarnheimer's holding in Tele2 has not, directly or through companies, decreased, nor has the majority of senior management decreased their holdings.
About NC Intressenter AB: At the 1997 Annual General Meeting, it was decided to establish an incentive program for present and future members of senior management in the Group. NC Intressenter AB was established for this purpose. The Tele2 shares that NC Intressenter acquired during the period 2000-2003 were previously financed through bank loans. On December 31, 2004, loans and shares were replaced by swap agreements that entail unchanged financial consequences for each shareholder remaining in NC Intressenter.
