FORT MYERS, Fla., June 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Innova Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:IVHG), a software company providing software solutions to the service, personal, and industrial robotic markets, announces that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Bola Industries, LLC (Livonia, MI) through which Bola will provide sales and service representation for the Robotic Workspace Technologies, Inc. (RWT) subsidiary.
"Bola Industries has broad experience working with robotics and factory automation," explains, Walter Weisel, chairman and CEO of Innova Holdings and RWT. "There are over 135,000 robots being used in manufacturing in North America. Most of these are in good mechanical condition, but are controlled by obsolete proprietary controls. I believe Bola Industries will play a key role in helping RWT realize the market opportunity for upgrading these robots with the URC."
Bola Industries principals Lawrence Nolan, Edward Maciarz, and Robert Puzio represent 97 years of experience working with the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as with the Department of Defense (DoD), providing sales, service, engineering, processing, project management, manufacturing/integration, and consulting.
"What differentiates Bola Industries is our AIMS, which is an acronym for Applied Innovative Manufacturing Solutions," explains Robert Puzio, principal, Bola Industries. "Although RWT doesn't use the same acronym, they too are leaders in developing and applying innovative manufacturing solutions. We are very excited about this opportunity to be working together."
RWT's flagship product is the Universal Robot Controller that utilizes the PC platform and the Microsoft(r) Windows(r) environment to provide an open architecture PC control system for controlling robots and other automated equipment and processes. It also serves as a higher level supervisory control system for systems integration. The URC features a "plug-and-play" design that facilitates the easy replacement of proprietary controls. The URC's universal robot programming language, RobotScript(r), is a derivative of Microsoft's Visual Basic Scripting Edition. The URC has been awarded two U.S. patents. It is currently operating on a variety of ABB, Fanuc, Cincinnati Milacron, Kawasaki, and Yaskawa Motoman robots being used in North America at Fortune 100 companies like Northrop Grumman, Martin Marietta, General Dynamics, Lockheed, and at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, plus Tier 1 automotive manufacturing plants.
