Nomadix Signs WiFi Roaming Pact with Cheetah Wireless of Las Vegas

3rd-Party WiFi Subscribers to Enjoy Easy, Secure Access

BALTIMORE, Md., June 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nomadix, Inc. (www.Nomadix.com), the leading supplier of intelligent network devices and interconnect services for guest access, digital cities, and carrier HotSpots, today announced that Cheetah Wireless Technologies, Inc (CWTI) will incorporate Nomadix Interconnect Services(tm) (NIS) into its expanding Las Vegas, Nevada and Encinitas, California metropolitan WiFi deployments. The agreement allows NIS subscribers to roam onto Cheetah Wireless' mesh infrastructure.

CWTI already uses the Nomadix Service Engine(tm) (NSE) Software, embedded on Nomadix Access Gateways. Using Nomadix' Dynamic Address Translation(tm) (DAT) Technology, the NSE invisibly resolves configuration issues and directs users to a web site for secure log-in. When networks sign NIS roaming agreements, Nomadix' intelligent roaming technology allows this process to happen at any NSE point of presence. The roaming service platform will generate a multi-revenue stream to CWTI above and beyond basic subscriber fees.

"Nomadix' roaming technology will allow thousands of daily visitors to Las Vegas and Encinitas to easily and securely roam onto the CWTI network," said Mitchell Gonzales, founder, president and CEO of Cheetah Wireless Technologies, Inc. "With the recent availability of the AG 5000 Metro Gateway, Nomadix' technology is geared to accelerate any metropolitan WiFi deployment."

Cheetah Wireless aims to install more than 150 public access wireless Gateways in Las Vegas and over 50 access points throughout the 101 Coastal Freeway from Encinitas to San Diego, each of which allows connectivity in a 2,000-foot radius. Subscribers can easily and securely access the network in- or outside retail establishments and at their homes.

"The Digital City is a dynamic market for us," said Kurt Bauer, president and CEO of Nomadix. "We are a key player in this arena and the NSE, in conjunction with NIS, provides a streamlined user experience and increased revenue for public access service operators."
