DALLAS and DUBLIN, Ireland, July 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Trintech Group Plc (Nasdaq:TTPA), a leading provider of transaction reconciliation and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced the appointment of Maurice Hickey as Chief Financial Officer. Maurice will assume responsibility for financial management and reporting functions as well as investor relations activities. He will report to Paul Byrne, former Chief Financial Officer, who will continue as President of the company.
Maurice brings over 15 years of senior management experience to Trintech. Prior to Trintech, Maurice was CFO of Biomedical Research Ltd which was refinanced and restructured in 2003 and 2004. Prior to that, he was CFO of Trinity Biotech Plc (NASDAQ: TRIB) and Finance Director of the Imari Group, where he was involved in financial management and the execution of acquisition led plans. Maurice holds a BBS from Trinity College, Dublin and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
