Juho Lipsanen Appointed President of TeliaSonera Finland


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mr. Juho Lipsanen is appointed President of TeliaSonera Finland and will also be a member of TeliaSonera's Executive Management. He will start in his new position as of October 11, 2005. Juho Lipsanen will report to TeliaSonera's President and CEO Anders Igel.

Juho Lipsanen will join TeliaSonera from a publicly listed major Finnish media corporation, Alma Media Oyj, where he has worked recently as President and CEO. During 1994 - 2002 he has held several management positions in ABB Ltd. in Switzerland, such as President of ABB New Ventures and CFO of the worldwide Automation division.

Juho Lipsanen is 44 years old and holds a M.Sc. in Economics at Turku School of Economics & Business Administration. He is married and has three children.
