STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 06, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- OMX Exchanges has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The Memorandum of Understanding includes OMX Exchanges and Shanghai Stock Exchange cooperating through the exchange of information to develop the financial services industry in the Nordic Baltic region and the People's Republic of China, respectively and to assist in the maintenance of well-functioning securities markets.
Hans-Ole Jochumsen, Deputy President OMX Exchanges says: "We hope that this agreement will enable a fruitful cooperation regarding the exchange of information from which we can draw mutual inspiration to make further developments on our markets."
